Grown in the Targovishte wine-growing region of north-eastern Bulgaria, the Targovishte Traminer is a beautiful pale straw color. It has gorgeous brilliance and clarity—both in the unique custom-molded bottle and swirled in your wine glass. The exotic fragrances of this wine will bring you back to your glass again and again to inhale the roses, delicate ginger, and ripe grapefruit aromas. Its crisp acidity heightens the flavors of tangerine and lychee. This is a dry white wine, but it has a refreshing, almost imperceptibly sweet, finish.
Traminer is an excellent white wine to drink cold with traditional meze: shopska salata, lukana, grilled peppers and eggplant, olives, and white cheese in olive oil. Try it with robust, creamy entrées like linguine with chicken and chanterelle mushrooms.
