Ordering Bulgarian Wine:
A How-To Guide
This primer will be old news for our many regular customers. For those of you who have been curious but hesitant to order Bulgarian wine online, I hope that understanding how our system works will give you confidence and answer some of your questions.
Shop
Read about the wines, compare prices, make your selections, and put bottles in your cart. You can always call Molly and Miro if you have any questions or would like more information about any of the wines. We drink them, too!
Quantity discounts? Free shipping!
Shipping wine is expensive—but not for you. When you order by the case (12 bottles), we foot the bill for all of the packaging and shipping costs. You save over $70 per case, depending on where the wine is going from our shop in California. Order more to save more!
View cart and checkout
Once you’re ready to place your order, click “View Cart” to see the collection you’ve selected. This screen will give you a subtotal and allow you to change quantities or delete bottles.
The correct numbers: three, six, twelve—or more
To keep costs down, we only stock packaging for three, six, or twelve bottles. The BulgarianWine.com website will remind you to adjust the number of bottles in your cart before you check out. Any multiples of three will work.
Have a gift card?
Enter your gift card code and click “Apply.” If you haven’t got a code, don’t enter anything. If you’d like to order a gift card for someone, we have them available in amounts to cover three, six, or twelve bottles of wine.
Security
Stripe processes customers’ credit card payments on our website. Audited by a PCI-certified auditor, Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1—the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. We do not store your credit card number in our database. We use SSL to encrypt your data in transit.
Tick the ticky boxes
There are several options for you to select during checkout—create an account, sign up for our mailing list, etc. The only one that is required is the one indicating that you’ve read our terms and conditions.
Why create an account?
When you create an account on our site, you can log in to find your tracking number, view your previous orders, and save your addresses and payment methods to check out faster the next time you order.
You’ve Placed Your Order; Now What?
Processing your order
Molly creates your FedEx shipping label and prints your packing slip. If you’ve added a gift message (Bulgarian welcome!), she copies it onto one of our Bulgarian wine-themed cards to enclose with the wine.
Shipping your wine
We ship via FedEx, usually the next weekday. If you ship to a residence, FedEx will deliver seven days per week. Your wine travels in specially designed FedEx-approved wine shipping cartons.
Tracking your shipment
Your tracking number is saved with your order on our website and emailed to you as well. As your wine travels to you, FedEx will keep you notified of exceptions and estimated delivery dates.
Adult Signature Required
By law, someone 21+ years of age must sign for the wine. If you’re not sure an adult will be available to sign for the wine, consider shipping to a business address or a FedEx Onsite location.
Troubleshooting
If you are unsatisfied with your order for any reason, please reach out to me. I promise I will do my best to ensure you have a great experience with our company and wines. We are a mom-and-pop wine shop, so you will speak (in English with Molly or Bulgarian with Miro) directly to the owners whenever you call.
Nazdrave!
We appreciate your business.
